Dayton Adobe User Group - Meeting In June

Our June meeting will feature a demo by Doug Wade of some new features in Photoshop CS5. Doug is an Adobe CS instructor at Greene County Career Center, Warren County Career Center, and Sinclair. He has extensive experience with Photoshop. Please join us on this coming Wednesday June 1st, starting at 6:00 PM at the school of advertising art. Doug's demo will be followed by a brief Q+A.

CANCELLED December meeting: Doug Wade demos Photoshop CS5

We regret that this meeting has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Our speaker, Doug Wade, is feeling under the weather today. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We'll reschedule this meeting to sometime in the coming months. We hope to see you at our next meeting!

November meeting: Freelance Dayton

Andy Baker and Casey Telger from Freelance Dayton will join DAUG's November 17 meeting to offer insights into the world of freelance design. They'll discuss their personal perspectives on the art and business of freelancing, as well as discussing how their organization can help freelancers.

The meeting is free to attend and there will be a free raffle for prizes, including two books, courtesy of our sponsor, Focal Press.

Adobe's Trip Gotelli to present CS5 and After Effects

Our buddies at MCA-I Ohio Valley are hosting an event featuring Trip Gotelli, Senior Business Manager and Pro Video / Imaging Rep. at Adobe. He’ll give a presentation on Adobe Creative Suite 5 and After Effects. MCA-I invites members of other groups like the DAUG and DCS to attend, so it should be a great networking opportunity.

Southwest Ohio GiveCamp seeks web designers and developers

Southwest Ohio GiveCamp asked us to put out a call for volunteers. It seems like a great opportunity to use your talents to give back to the community. Here's what they sent us...

Southwest Ohio GiveCamp needs your support. For one weekend in October, we’ll take on the technology wish lists of 10 non-profit organizations, and we’re looking for about 60 volunteers, both technical and non-technical, to help us do it.

We need:

• Developers (any language)
• Web and User Experience Designers
• Data Base Administrators
• Project Managers
• Anyone who wants to help!
